Elevate Your Vibration: The Power of Positive Energy

"If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration." - Nikola Tesla

Pregame Prep (today's overview)

We've all met those people. Some you can't wait to see again, and others, well, you're kind of relieved when they're out the door. Why? It's all about energy. This week's PlaybookToFreedom is all about recognizing your energy and working towards those high energy levels that'll skyrocket you towards your goals. You might think, 'this sounds crazy,' but hang on because you know as well as I do, keeping an open mind has opened doors you never even knew existed.

Film Review (my experience)

I'll be honest with you; several years, I was completely clueless about the energy I brought into a room. All I cared about was, what's in it for me? It was always about work, achievements, and wanting more. The downside? I was pushing away the very things I wanted.

I'm sure I'm not alone, we get so focused on our specific goal or task that we don't even pay attention to anyone else. After some self improvement work I shifted my focus from 'me, me, me,' to 'how can I add value?' What happened next was like magic! The more I gave, the more I got back. The universe was listening and was giving me back more than I ever dreamed of. As I started helping others, providing education and service my tasks and goals also came to reality.

Offensive Game Plan (actions to obtain freedom)

Changing your energy from receiving to giving is a game-changer, but I won't sugarcoat it - it's not an overnight process. Here's my playbook to advance your energy game:

  1. Becoming more aware: It's about recognizing the energy you're dishing out to others, and the vibes you're soaking up. Do me a favor, put a smile on that face, lock eyes, and acknowledge folks. You'd be surprised how many people don't take a hot second to even recognize others before they start asking for what they want. Be the energy you want to see, watch what happens, most likely you see the energy you want.

  2. Work on staying present and being grateful: Tackle the heavy lifting of self-improvement by unloading some gratitude. I know, gratitude journaling seemed like a bunch of baloney to me at first, but damn, it has seriously moved the needle on not just my awareness in the now, but also my appreciation for even the tiniest of wins.

  3. Finding your Zen, honing your focus, and setting solid intentions: I've combined the next three it's like a trifecta.

  4. Let's talk breathwork – breathing is life and most of the time it's automatic. When we're freaking out, stressed, or having a mini-meltdown, we tighten up and our breathing gets all out of whack. These are situations when you need to think about your breathing! Working on breath techniques like Yogic breathing, circular breathing, and the physiological sigh will get you back on track ASAP.

  5. Now, I've written about how daily affirmations are part of my daily ritual. Just know this isn't some woo-woo mumbo jumbo, saying daily affirmations every day makes a big difference in my success.

  6. Find a chill spot and make it your go-to, no matter where you live. Make a point of hitting that peaceful place every day if you can swing it. I'm all about taking a walk in nature - whether it's hanging in my backyard or wandering in the woods, I do it every day. This practice, often called forest bathing (or Shinrin-yoku in Japan), is about immersing yourself in a natural environment to jack up your mood and dial down your stress. And you know what? It's been a big win for me.

Defensive Game Plan (actions to defend your freedom)

There'll be times when it feels like you're in a boxing ring, taking more hits than you're landing. That's when you've put up your defenses to hit pause, regroup, and top off your own tank.

  1. Making your why strong enough- When your "why" is strong it helps you get past those temporary setbacks. Write your own eulogy- it sounds grim, but trust me, it's about making sure every step you're taking aligns with what truly matters to you. A strong 'why' has gotten me through many tough challenges and kept me motivated

  2. Ask for help- Don't get all macho about asking for help. As I've said before, your network is your net worth. If you're feeling too proud or scared to show some vulnerability and ask your crew for help, you need to rethink who's in your corner. Your network should be a pillar, not just a trophy.

  3. Stop expectations: If you're giving with the expectation of always getting something in return, take my advice and pump the brakes on the giving. Dial it back and focus on building your own foundation. You can't control others' reactions or buy their loyalty. Sure, throwing some cash around might influence others for a bit, but that's going to stop working sooner or later.

Even the best-laid plans can go sideways. When the energy doesn't feel right and you know in your gut something is off that's when you have to be willing to switch it up to walk away. Sometimes your energy and the energy of the room just aren't compatible. The best move here is to say "nope" and step back if your gut's sounding the alarm. Don't beat yourself up if things don't pan out, don't let your ego convince you you can move mountains. Draft a new game plan and just charge ahead, but don't burn any bridges. I can't count the times I've distanced myself from some bad juju only to circle back and work with the same folks again, but this time around with a rejuvenated and supercharged energy.

Post-Game Review (key takeaway)

Your energy and your vibe is everything. It can either light up a room or dim it down. Be the person who not only climbs the mountain but also lifts others up along the way. Because the playbook to freedom isn't just about winning. It's about winning with integrity, joy, and making a real difference. The best plays are the ones you create for yourself. Build your own playbook to freedom!
